New ‘discreet’ Viagra Launched ending Embarrassment Of Blue Pill

The makers of Viagra are set to release a new ‘discrete’ form of the drug that will change the renowned – and instantly recognisable – little blue tablet.

The distinctive diamond-shaped tablets might soon be replaced by a pink, rectangular ‘wafer’ that liquifies on the tongue, implying it does not require to be taken with water.

About half of males over 40 suffer erectile dysfunction in the UK and last year there was a record 4.57 million prescriptions for Viagra on the NHS.

The drug initially concerned the market in the 1990s after being created by the American pharmaceutical company Pfizer.

It was first developed in the 1980s as a heart problem medication, however trial participants discovered it had an uncommon side result – frequent erections.

Now, Pfizer spin-off Viatris, which owns the Viagra name and brand name, has requested a hallmark in the UK for the new type of the drug, Viagra ODF.

Viatris has currently introduced the Viagra ODF in Canada and advertised it as being ‘thin and discreet’ which may be more suitable for lots of clients.

The unique tablets – which can trigger shame for some patients – has actually been transformed and a new dissolvable type may be to Brits in the next five years. Stock image

‘Tablets are not always tolerable to clients and likewise often the size of tablets may put clients off having them,’ Thorrun Govind, pharmacist and health specialist, informed The Telegraph.

She added: ‘Some guys might still be finding the idea of having Viagr humiliating, but I would hope that guys’s health and conversations about sexual health have actually moved on since Viagra was first formulated.’

Ms Govind believes this new style is a ‘positive advance’.

The new dissolvable medication is believed to most likely concerned the UK imminently.

Rebecca Anderson-Smith, partner and chartered trade mark lawyer at Mewburn Ellis, informed the newspaper that the trademark application is a ‘excellent sign’ it will be available within the next five years.

She explained trade mark registrations can be cancelled if they are not used for a continuous period of five years or more after registration. As a result, it seems Viatris plans to release the item within the next few years.

However, approving a trademark would not guarantee the ODF could be offered and it would have to be authorized by the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency first.

It’s expected to cost the same as the tablet version and to be offered in the very same dosages.

An overall of 4.57 million prescriptions for sildenafil, more frequently known by the brand Viagra, and other kinds of impotency drugs sold under the brand name names Cialis and Levitra, were dispensed by the health service in 2023

This follows dodgy Viagra was found to be Britain’s biggest fake drug after more than ₤ 6.2 million of fake blue tablet were taken by UK regulators in 2023.

More products of the erectile dysfunction drug were found than knock-off versions of pain relievers like morphine.

Health officials said online sellers flouting regulations were behind the fake materials with many being imported from nations like India without a suitable licence.

Data, from UK regulator The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), show 2.6 million doses of sildenafil, the generic name for the medication best referred to as Viagra, were seized last year.

Another half-million doses of tadalafil, another erectile dysfunction drug offered under the brand Cialis worth ₤ 1.2 million were likewise seized.

While all medications carry prospective adverse effects drugs from unreliable sources may either not work or bring extra ingredients or impurities like heavy metals or other drugs that could be dangerous.
